Surrey Heath Borough Council has published its Financial Monitoring Report for Quarter 2, providing an updated overview of the council’s financial position as of 30 September 2024.

The winners of the 2024 Surrey Heath Sports Awards have been announced.

The awards celebrate the achievements of local coaches, volunteers, athletes and community
groups, who have gone above and beyond in their performances, dedication and commitment
to sport and physical activity.

Surrey Heath Borough Council is delighted to confer the prestigious honorary Freedom of the Borough on six remarkable individuals and organisations, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to our community.

The awards celebrate the achievements of local coaches, volunteers, athletes and community groups, who have gone above and beyond in their performances, dedication and commitment to sport and physical activity. 

Camberley town centre has received a major boost with £1,480,300 awarded by HM Government through the Brownfield Land Release Fund (BLRF2), part of the One Public Estate Programme. 

This funding will support new housing development on the London Road site, located next to the A30 in the heart of Camberley.

The Royal British Legion Remembrance Parade in Camberley, with the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, along with local cadet and uniformed groups, will take place on Sunday, 10 November 2024, at 3pm.

A flag raising ceremony took place on Wednesday 25 September 2024 outside Surrey Heath House in recognition of our Armed Forces.

The flag raising followed a meeting with our military and community partners to review the Council's Armed Forces Covenant Action plan, which details how we support our Armed Forces community in the Borough.
