Camberley town centre received £1,480,300 in September 2024 from HM Government through the Brownfield Land Release Fund (BLRF2), part of the One Public Estate Programme.  This funding will support a new residential development on the London Road site, located next to the A30 in the heart of Camberley.  The council will also be making a substantial financial contribution to ensure the preparation works go ahead and a step change in the town is delivered.

Surrey Heath Borough Council has taken another significant step on the road to net zero by introducing photovoltaic solar panels at Places Leisure Camberley, the borough’s flagship leisure centre. 

At its upcoming meeting on 8 April, the Surrey Heath Borough Council Executive will consider plans for essential resurfacing works to improve the car park and access road at Frimley Lodge Park.

Great news for young people in Surrey Heath.  Funding for The Workshop has been secured until 31 March 2026 from the Department of Work and Pensions Flexible Support Fund. 

The Camberley strategic vision consultation received over 500 responses from residents and businesses. The vision focuses on creating a vibrant, sustainable, and well-connected town centre that supports both economic growth and social well-being.
