VJ Day 80

Remembering VJ Day – 80 Years On  

On Friday 15 August Surrey Heath Borough Council raised a flag to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory over Japan (VJ) Day and the end of the Second World War.  

Paying tribute to all those who served in the Far East and the Pacific, a two-minute silence also took place.
