The Leader of Surrey Heath Borough Council, Cllr Shaun Macdonald, has received a reply from Minister of State for Health Karin Smyth MP, in response to Cllr Macdonald’s letter to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care regarding concerns about the potential site for the Frimley Park Hospital rebuild.
Cllr Macdonald said: “While I appreciate the Minister’s reply, I am disappointed that she has not responded to the non-commercial aspects of the potential site which were outlined in my letter, and the wider community concerns which have been raised so strongly by local people since speculation about this location began.
“I am committed to continuing to raise these concerns through all available channels to reflect our community’s concerns, campaign for residents and ensure that a transparent process takes place to achieve the best result for local people.”
