The Workshop - supporting young people into work

The Workshop Youth Employability Hub has been supporting Surrey Heath residents aged 18–24 since 2021 with careers, mental health, housing, and budgeting support. From April 2026/27, we’ll also support young people aged 16–18 actively registered with DWP programmes, giving earlier access to skills, guidance, and opportunities. 

We’re proud and delighted to have secured DWP funding for the fifth year and this year will see 140 young people benefiting with 75% improving their employability and 40% moving into work. 

In addition we have a designated Youth Hub area on the ground floor of Surrey Heath House, offering a safe, welcoming space to get support.
