A flag raising ceremony took place on Monday 23 June 2025 outside Surrey Heath House in recognition of Armed Forces Day on Saturday 28 June 2025.

The next Camberley Careers Fair, hosted by Surrey Heath Borough Council in partnership with the DWP and Camberley Job Centre, is scheduled for Wednesday 2 July, 11am-1pm. It will be held in the Ping Pong Parlour in The Square shopping centre in Camberley.

Surrey Heath Borough Council Leader, Cllr Shaun Macdonald shares a foreword to the joint statement issued by Surrey District & Borough Leaders about the Government’s consultation on Local Government Reorganisation in Surrey.  

To support women in sport the ‘She Leads Grant’ has been established to support young women in the borough between the age of 16 and 25, to obtain a coaching qualification in any sport of their choice. 

Pupils from two Surrey Heath schools will be the first to receive Rotary’s new Junior Community Awards at a ceremony in the council chamber on 18 June. 

On Friday 9 May, all district and borough councils in Surrey submitted their final Local Government Reorganisation Plan to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. In response, the government has launched a formal statutory seven-week consultation.  

Following a review of the council’s property portfolio, the land to the rear of Holly Hedge Road in Frimley was identified as one of the sites to put up for sale. However, following a recent reassessment the council has now taken this land off the market.

A boost for biodiversity plans in Surrey Heath will be discussed at the upcoming meeting of the council Executive.

The council is continuing to review its considerable property portfolio to identify surplus and underutilised sites that have the potential to create a financial return and more community value through sale.
