Surrey Heath will come together to honour the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces at the Royal British Legion Remembrance Parade on Sunday 9 November at 2.30pm in Camberley.

Organised in partnership with Surrey Heath Borough Council, the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), Surrey Heath Faith Forum, and Surrey Police, the parade is a poignant annual tradition that reflects the borough’s important military heritage.

The Mayor of Surrey Heath, Councillor Louise Ashbery, will lay a wreath at the war memorial and said:

“This important annual event pays tribute to the courage and sacrifice of those who served in the First and Second World Wars, as well as in more recent conflicts. Surrey Heath has a strong military heritage, and we honour everyone who has served or is serving in our armed forces.

Please join us on the day to watch the parade – it is always a wonderful and meaningful event to be part of.”

Patrick Mathe, Chairman, Royal British Legion Camberley Branch added:

“Remembrance is a time for communities to come together in reflection and gratitude. The Camberley parade is a powerful tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country, and we are honoured to stand alongside local cadet groups, Surrey Heath residents, councillors, our MP and military representatives in marking this important occasion.

We welcome everyone to join us in paying their respects and ensuring that the legacy of our armed forces lives on through remembrance.

We will remember them.”

We are grateful to our event sponsors: Avery Healthcare, The Square Shopping Centre, The Atrium, and Apthorp Asbestos Management for their generous support.
