There is a charge to submit a planning advice enquiry.

Any other general planning enquiry £75 (or plus £75 per hour dependent on the nature of the request)

How and when to pay

To submit a planning advice enquiry, you must complete the general enquiries form.

On receipt of payment, we will normally respond within 7 days, unless otherwise stated. If the enquiry takes longer to respond to, we will contact you to explain the reason.

Important information

Before submitting a planning advice enquiry, you should be aware of the following:

  • this service excludes advice for a proposal under permitted development rights or a dropped kerb enquiry - you will need to submit a lawful development certificate instead
  • this service only provides copies of information by return email
  • if you require paper copies then this will carry further charges

Refunds and response times

For significant delays no refunds will be given automatically, and each request will be considered on its own merits.

Any request must be in writing to development control.
