How and when to pay

You must agree to the terms and conditions and submit the completed fast-track proforma before payment is requested.

Once eligibility is confirmed, you will be asked to make the fast-track payment.

Payment must be made using the fast-track proforma.

After making payment, you must send a copy of the payment receipt to:

Once the fast-track payment has been received, you can submit your planning application through the Planning Portal. You will also need to pay the statutory planning application fee at that stage.

Important information about fast-track fees

Before choosing the fast-track service, you should be aware of the following:

  • fast-track payment is in addition to the statutory planning application fee
  • fast-track payments are inclusive of VAT
  • there are no exemptions from fast-track payment in any circumstances
  • the council may suspend all or part of the service if demand is too high or due to resourcing issues

Refunds

A partial or full refund will only be considered in specific circumstances.

Refunds must be requested in writing by emailing fast.track@surreyheath.gov.uk. Each request will be reviewed on its own merits.

A partial or full refund will not be given if:

  • the application is made invalid after the validation review
  • site access is not available or reasonable access arrangements are not made
  • the application is called in to Planning Applications Committee by a councillor
  • the application is withdrawn or refused
  • delays are caused by external consultees
  • a time extension has been agreed in writing

What this service applies to

This paid service applies to:

  • householder planning applications
  • applications for lawful development certificates
  • minor development planning applications (1–9 dwellings or less than 1,000 m²)

This paid service does not apply to:

  • application types outside those listed above
