Surrey Heath Borough Council launched a borough-wide Community Governance Review, following a decision made at the Full Council meeting on Wednesday 16 July 2025.
The review is being carried out to make sure local governance arrangements across Surrey Heath continue to be effective and reflect the identity and interests of local communities.
We evaluated feedback from stage one of the Community Governance Review and the Council agreed to conduct a second stage for the below areas:
Bisley, Chobham and West End were not consulted further on whether there should be changes to the parish arrangements in their areas. No further changes in these areas are being proposed, except in relation to the area of Scotts Grove Road, Chobham where the residents of the three properties in 'Bisley detached' were directly consulted.
This includes the areas of Camberley, Frimley, Frimley Green, Mytchett, Deepcut, Heatherside, and Parkside.
We consulted residents in parts of Surrey Heath, that don’t currently have a parish council, to see if they would like one.
