Local winner of £1,000 national prize draw in Surrey Heath Lottery

A supporter of the Surrey Heath Lottery has won the national prize of a £1,000 B&Q voucher. 
 
The lucky winner, who supports Camberley and Farnborough Hockey Club through their lottery ticket purchases, was chosen at random from all those who played community lotteries across the UK on 23 April.

Statement on Diamond Ridge Woods

Surrey Heath Borough Council (SHBC) is aware of information circulating in the community on a proposed 4-pitch Gypsy and Traveller site in part of Diamond Ridge Woods just outside Camberley. The Council would like to clarify the Facebook post on the Old Dean Community Group was not shared by SHBC.

Camberley Town Centre has been named as the UK’s top town for doing business.

Camberley was voted for by the public from a shortlist of 12 as part of a national initiative from Enterprise Nation, the UK’s leading small business network and business support provider and in partnership with Dell Technologies and Intel.

The Queen's Green Canopy - Jubilee Trees planted in Camberley High Street

The Queen's Green Canopy (QGC) is a unique tree planting initiative inviting people from across the United Kingdom to "Plant a Tree for the Jubilee". As well as inviting the planting of new trees, The Queen's Green Canopy will dedicate a network of 70 Ancient Woodlands across the United Kingdom and identify 70 Ancient Trees to celebrate Her Majesty's 70 years of service.  

In Surrey Heath we have placed Jubilee trees in Camberley High Street to mark the occasion.
