The shortlist for the Surrey Heath Sports Awards 2023 has been announced.

The awards celebrate local coaches, participants, volunteers, organisers and everybody in between who deserve to be recognised for their sporting achievements.

Frimley unauthorised encampment

We are aware of an unauthorised encampment at Frimley Lodge Park.

RAAC has been found in Camberley Theatre.  Whilst this does not present an immediate risk, further checks are being made to see if any work is needed to further preserve the life span of the building.  

The Council are able to fund at least ten events across Surrey Heath with grants available for up to £1,000. 

Lightwater Leisure Centre has recently completed a comprehensive refurbishment programme to enhance its gym and facilities.

Surrey Heath Borough Council is reviewing the timetable for the remaining stages of the Local Plan process, known as the Local Development Scheme.  

A Cost of Living event will take place on Thursday 12 October from 2pm to 6pm in The Square shopping centre, Camberley.

The Council has published on its website for the first time this week original historic reports, meeting minutes and approval forms that it has on file that led to the decision to purchase both The Square Shopping Centre and the House of Fraser store in 2016.
