The Chobham Neighbourhood Plan 2024-2038 was formally adopted at an Extraordinary Council Meeting yesterday (16 June).

This follows a referendum held in the Neighbourhood Plan Area on 7 May 2026 where the Plan received an 85% yes vote, meaning the Plan has already received full legal effect and should proceed to be ‘made’ by the local authority.

The Neighbourhood Plan includes a range of policies relating to the whole of Chobham Parish including housing mix, biodiversity, parking standards, flooding, Chobham Village Centre, important views, local green spaces and heritage.

Chobham Parish Council prepared the draft Neighbourhood Plan, which has been subject to consultation and independent examination. The adopted Plan forms part of the borough’s statutory development plan, and will be used for determining planning applications in Chobham Parish.
