Following a resolution on 10 December 2025, Surrey Heath Borough Council Leader Shaun Macdonald has written to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to highlight residents’ concerns over the proposed Frimley Park Hospital rebuild.
He has also written separately to Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, thanking staff for their June briefing and raising serious concerns about the Macbeth West site’s impact on local homes, schools, green space, transport, and patient safety.
The Leader has also called on the Secretary of State to help ensure the hospital is retained in Surrey Heath, safeguarding local access to services, supporting the borough’s workforce, and ensuring any new hospital has the infrastructure and sustainable transport links it needs.
