Water safety

All lakes, ponds, streams, ditches and other watercourses within the park are natural or managed water features and are not designated for swimming, paddling, bathing, boating or any other water-based recreational activity.

Entry into the water is strictly prohibited.

Open water can present significant hazards, including deep water, sudden changes in depth, cold water shock, submerged objects, entanglement hazards, unstable banks, poor visibility and slippery surfaces. These risks may not be obvious and can result in serious injury or death.

Visitors enter and use the park at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety and the safety of those in their care. Parents, guardians and group leaders must ensure that children and vulnerable persons are appropriately supervised at all times, particularly in the vicinity of water.

Visitors must remain on designated paths and access routes and comply with all safety signage, instructions and site regulations.

Visitors are expected to exercise personal responsibility, remain vigilant to their surroundings and act in a safe and responsible manner throughout their visit.

In the event of an emergency, call 999 immediately.
