Sturgeon

If you catch a sturgeon whilst fishing here, do not return it to the water, as this is an offence. Sturgeons are a protected species. You should instead contact the Environment Agency (external website) and they will give you advice on what you should do. You can contact the agency by phone on 0800 807060.

Recycling bins

We have a recycling bin for used fishing line at Hammonds Pond.  Thank you to the Angling Trust (Thames Region) who donated the bin.

This environmentally-friendly way of dealing with old fishing lines reduces litter, avoids landfill and helps protect local wildlife.  More information can be found on the Anglers National Line Recycling Scheme website (external link).
