Education

The Greenspace Team offers a wide range of services for visiting schools and groups. They are also available for local outreach projects at their own venues.

There is an education cabin at the park which is used for holding events as part of our ongoing education programme.

It is also available for hire on a regular or ad hoc basis. There is an indoor cabin with tables and chairs available. The cabin has a veranda which can be used for shade or cover. The outdoor space is fenced and has a pagoda with four picnic benches for additional seating.

Conservation

The area of heathland within the park has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The Country Park is therefore an area of high nature conservation value. This is due to the rarity of this type of habitat against damaging operations or development.
