Blue Badge and disabled parking

The Blue Badge scheme helps those with severe mobility problems to park closer to where they need to go.

Applying for a Blue Badge

Using a Blue Badge in our car parks

Blue Badge holders can park free of charge in all Pay and Display car parks, provided they:

  • Clearly display a valid Blue Badge.
  • There is no time limit for parking in these bays.

In the following car parks, Blue Badge holders must park in a designated disabled bay, and pay the standard parking charge. They are not permitted to park in permit and or reserved/staff bays:

  • Knoll Road car park
  • Main Square car park
