We have raised the Nepalese flag outside Surrey Heath House as a mark of solidarity with the people of Nepal following the recent devastating floods.

Surrey Heath is proud to be home to a valued Nepalese community, and we recognise this is an incredibly difficult time for those directly affected, as well as for residents in our borough who are worried about family and friends overseas.

This gesture reflects our support for everyone impacted by this tragedy, and we send our heartfelt thoughts and condolences to all those affected.

A vigil organised by the Camberley Nepalese Gurkha Association will take place at Surrey Heath House on Saturday 5 September from 7.45pm to 8.45pm. The vigil is open to anyone who wishes to attend and pay their respects in solidarity with those affected by the floods.  The Nepalese flag will be moved to the front of Surrey Heath House on Friday for the duration of the weekend for this event.
