The Intersex Progressive Pride flag was raised outside Surrey Heath House on Friday 6 September. This event celebrates Surrey Heath’s diversity and individuality across the Borough and shows support for our LGBTQ+ Community.
This year's event was hosted by the Mayor of Surrey Heath, Councillor Sarbie Kang with attendees including, Surrey Heath Borough Council Councillors and Officers, representatives from Pride Surrey and members of the local LGBTQ+ community.
The Mayor of Surrey Heath, Councillor Sarbie Kang said;
“I am delighted to welcome you all here to Surrey Heath House today as we come together to continue the tradition of raising the Pride flag.
Today we are all here on this day of celebration, reflection and education to support the aim of removing barriers and welcoming inclusion for all.”

This annual event is an outward symbol of the support Surrey Heath Borough Council offers the LGBTQ+ community and a commitment to ensuring that Surrey Heath remains a safe and welcoming place for all."
Pride in Surrey Main Event, Saturday 21 September, Stoke Park Guildford
The Parade begins the day with a procession through Guildford High Street, before arriving in Stoke Park, where this year’s park event takes place.
