About Heath Week 

Run by the Thames Basin Heaths Partnership, Heath Week is a fantastic opportunity to share our passion for the Thames Basin Heaths with a week packed full of free events across the local area. With a family-friendly focus, we invite you to join us to explore incredible heathland wildlife, ranging from the majestic Nightjar to rare butterflies and an incredible six species of native reptile! There’ll be interactive quizzes, nature trails, creative crafts and other engaging activities, designed to inspire both children and adults alike!

Monday 28 July

  • Butterflies and Other Things with Wings, Chobham Common from 10am to 1:30pm. No booking required.
  • Wildfire Awareness Roadshow, Wildmoor Heath from 10am to 2pm. No booking required.
  • Butterfly and Reptile Walk (RSPB), Blackbushe from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Booking required.
  • Nightjar Walk, Whitmoor from 8pm to 10pm. Booking required.
  • Marvellous Moths, Heather Farm, Horsell from 9pm to 12am. Booking required.

Tuesday 29 July

  • Heathland Insects (Horsell Common Preservation Society), Horsell Common from 10am to 2pm. No booking required.
  • Forestry Finds (Forestry England), Bramshill Plantation from 10am to 2pm. No booking required.
  • Sensory Scavenger Hunt, Wildmoor Heath from 10am to 2pm. No booking required.

Wednesday 30 July

  • Family Nature Day (Hampshire County Council), Yateley Common from 10am to 2pm (timing to be confirmed). Booking required.

Friday 1 August

  • Tales of the Heath (Hart District Council), Hazeley Heath from 11am to 3pm. No booking required.

Saturday 2 August
