Pay your Council Tax

Pay your Council Tax by Direct Debit using monthly instalments taken from your bank account.

Your Council Tax bill explains when you need to make your payments. Payment is due by monthly instalments.

Direct Debit payments will be credited to your Council Tax account the next working day.

Information you will need

You will need:

• your Council Tax account number
• your bank account details

Set up a Direct Debit

You can set up a Direct Debit:

• using the Council Tax Options system
• by phone on 01276 707100

Please have your bank account details to hand for the account to be used to pay.

Payment dates

You can choose a monthly instalment date of either:

• the second of the month
• the sixteenth of the month

If more than one signature is needed

If your bank account needs more than one authorised signatory to approve any new transaction, you will need to complete a Direct Debit form and return it to us.
