Council Tax exemptions

You may be entitled to a Council Tax exemption for certain types of properties

Trustees in bankruptcy (class Q)

This exemption does not apply if you are the person(s) made bankrupt and you are still living in the property.  

Apply 

To apply for this exemption, you need to provide: 

  • the address of the property 
  • the date when the property became unoccupied 
  • the name and current address of the person(s) declared bankrupt 
  • the date the bankruptcy was made 
  • the name and address of the trustee
