Procurement and bidding

Information about what procurement is and access to the Council's procurement contracts.

The council spends more than £25 million per annum in meeting its obligations and to achieve its corporate objectives.

Procurement is the process by which Surrey Heath Borough Council (SHBC) controls, monitors, and completes the requirements necessary to meet its obligations and corporate objectives.

The Council has a wide range of procurement requirements. These are split into three categories

  • goods (for example, stationery and computer equipment)
  • services (e.g., Professional services and Cleaning)
  • works (e.g., Installation of Electric charge points)

The Council’s Procurement team adheres to the legislation and regulations to ensure public money is spent in an open, transparent, and fair manner.
