Consultation information
The Electoral Registration Act 2013 introduced a formal process for the timings of compulsory reviews of UK Parliamentary polling districts and polling places. A full review of the whole borough must be undertaken at intervals of not less than five years.
The main issues to be considered are:
- Creating a single polling district in Windlesham, with Windlesham Club & Theatre as the designated polling place.
- Moving electors in the Frimley (East) polling district to Parkside polling district, to reflect the new unitary authority ward boundaries. This affects electors in the area of Tomlinscote School, Alphington Avenue and Buckingham Way area who currently vote at St Peter’s Church Hall. Electors moved to Parkside polling district would vote at St Francis’s Church Hall.
- Moving the electors currently in the Old Dean ward/ polling district who are south of the A30 into the St Pauls polling district.
More information can be found in the Public Consultation Document for Polling District and Polling Places Review and the Notice of Review:
