Congratulations to all the winners at the Surrey Heath Sports Awards 2018

The Awards, celebrating the best in local sporting achievement, were held on Monday 15th October at Camberley Theatre. 

Organised by Surrey Heath Borough Council, the awards honour people from across the borough who have excelled in their sport, exceeded personal targets or made a meaningful impact on the local community. 

The 2018 winners were as follows:

Active Surrey Coach of the Year:  Claire Murray - Heatherside Social Walkers


The Massage Company Sports Club of the Year: Camberley Rugby Club


Arena Leisure Centre Outstanding Service to Sport: Grant Simmons - Ravenscote Junior School


Legacy Sportswear Sports Personality of the Year: Samantha Taylor - GB Age Triathlete


Complete Coaching Young Sports Personality of the Year: Owen Heard - Camberley and District Athletics Club


The National Tennis Association Sports Team of the Year: Camberley and Farnborough Hockey Club Ladies 2nd XI


Specsavers Young Team of the Year: Bisley and Sandown Chase Pony Club Mounted Games Juniors Team


The Camberley Theatre Disability Sport Award: Yasmin Somers - Harlow Athletics Club


Disability Sport Award: Highly Commended: Surrey Chargers - Mixed Ability team at Chobham Rugby Club


Surrey Playing Fields Association Robin Elsdon-Dew Young Volunteer of the Year: Alivia Leahy - Liberty Gymnastics


Specsavers Surrey Youth Games Awards:
