Our popular free Christmas tree recycling scheme collected a record number of more than 3,400 real Christmas trees in Surrey Heath in January 2023, helping to make our Greenspace team leader Steve smile from ear to ear!   

Thank you to everyone who brought their tree to one of our 15 recycling points between 5-15 January - and helped #MakeSteveSmile!   

The trees have been chipped, with the woodchips used for mulch and to top up paths in our beautiful parks and green spaces.
