SHBC support the work of The Hope Hub, a registered charity working to help prevent and end homelessness in Surrey Heath. Based in Camberley, they offer a range of crisis and empowerment services. More:

The following schemes are in surrounding areas and may be able to assist you. As you may need a local connection to secure a place or to be referred by your Council you should call them first or speak to a Housing Options Officer in your local Council Housing Team.

Surrey Area

The YMCA has 120 beds available to men or women aged between 18 - 30. Referral is through Guildford Borough Council and room rates vary depending on circumstance. The YMCA is open for telephone enquiries between 8am - 6pm.

York Road Project

Both men and women (aged 18+) experiencing homelessness. Spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis. Priority will be given to those with a connection to the Boroughs of Woking or Waverley in Surrey. Prior referral from Waverley Borough Council is required.  Eleven beds in a mixture of individual and shared rooms. You can initially stay up to 21 nights costing £2 per night, which includes dinner and breakfast. Open 365 nights of the year from 18:00 onwards and all day every Sunday

Day Services. Open Monday to Thursday, 07:30-16:00. Access for rough sleepers is 07:30-12:00 for breakfast, showers, laundry.

LeatherHEAD Start - Night Shelter
Emergency, direct access, short-term accommodation for homeless men and women over the age of 18. Referrals – Priority is given to those with a local connection to Mole Valley.

Direct access Hostel for Single homeless people 18-65 years. Priority for those with a local connection to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council area. Length of Stay: 1 day – 12 weeks. Access by self-referral or referral by professional agency.

Winchester Churches Night Shelter
Shelter for homeless men and women aged 16-64years. Admission from 6pm until 10pm. You must leave each day at 8.30 am. Maximum stay of 28 days.

Crawley Open House (Riverside House)
Hostel with 24 beds for homeless men and women over the age of 18. Priority given to those from Crawley and West Sussex, however if they have a bed-space available then they will offer it to anyone in need of it. Work with all regardless of issues, needs or history. Residents stay for an initial 28 days whilst move on options are explored. Pets allowed wherever possible.  Access to a medical centre and day centre.
