Club Dean, the free multi-sports evening for 11-16 year olds, is temporarily closed.
We are aware that Surrey-based Our Time Youth Agency, has stepped away from the project after overseeing the successful opening of Club Dean. We are now working with the local community and partner organisations to help secure the long-term future of Club Dean.'
Staff and volunteers provided a welcoming, safe space and helped to shape an exciting programme for over 100 young people who have attended sessions since the Club launched in November 2022.
Cllr Rebecca Jennings-Evans, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Culture and Communities said;
"I'm so grateful to our partners and all the volunteers who have successfully started this much needed project for local young people. It is a testament to their dedication and commitment that the sessions have been so well received by the community. So many young people have attended since the Club started and we'll do all we can to help them find a new provider to ensure that the Club continues supporting young people well into the future."
