On the evening of 3 May 2018 we held our latest innovative #TalkSurreyHeath event streamed live on Facebook from Surrey Heath House.
This #TalkSurreyHeath focused around SHBC’s recently published Annual Plan.
The panel facing the camera consisted of Deputy Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Finance Cllr Richard Brooks, Business Portfolio Holder Cllr Craig Fennell, SHBC Chief Executive Karen Whelan, and Executive Head of Transformation, Louise Livingston.
Areas discussed in the hour-long session covered a wide range of subjects, including; Council Tax, The Square Shopping Centre, the London Road development site, Surrey Heath Museum, Sport and Leisure facilities in Surrey Heath and protection of the local environment.
The live stream and the video of the event has been viewed by over 2,000 people – proving #TalkSurreyHeath is a popular way for local residents to find out more about SHBC and our work.
Cllr Richard Brooks said; “Many thanks to everyone who submitted questions. It is always really interesting and beneficial for us to hear your views and have the opportunity to reply to you directly about Surrey Heath and council services. There is a lot happening in Surrey Heath at the moment and we are really keen to keep residents and local businesses up to date.”
