A Remembrance Parade with the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) and local cadet and uniformed groups is taking place this Sunday.
The parade will pay respects to those involved in the First and Second World Wars, as well as more recent conflicts.
After the parade wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial outside the entrance to the RMAS by the Mayor of Surrey Heath, Sarah Jane Croke, Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, Councillor Alan McClafferty, Leader, Surrey Heath Borough Council, representatives from the Royal British Legion and military personnel.
Councillor Colin Dougan, Deputy Leader and Military Champion, SHBC said;
“Please support the parade on Sunday at 3pm by lining the route from St Michael’s Church up the London Road to the War Memorial outside the Royal Military Academy. Staff from the Academy will once again command the parade of veterans, local cadet and community groups. Our local scouts and brownies are also on parade and have rehearsed well to ensure it marks utmost respect those who have lost their lives in war. It is always an amazing event to be part of.”
