Supporting community groups and charities across Surrey Heath
We are pleased to announce a new grant scheme supporting Surrey Heath’s community groups and charities via their Ward Councillors.
Each Ward Councillor has a £1,000 budget for this scheme for the remainder of this financial year (until the 31 March 2021) and can award small grants, up to a maximum of £500.
Councillor Alan McClafferty, Leader, Surrey Heath Borough Council said:
“This scheme really allows local ward Councillors to directly support groups that are providing great services within their Wards and across Surrey Heath. Many charities and community groups just need a small grant to say, replace a broken fridge or put on an event, and now your local Ward Councillor can say yes pretty much immediately.
“If you are looking for assistance where a small grant could really help, then I would urge you to talk to your local Ward Councillor.”
