Message for Garden Waste Customers

We're very sorry for the disruption to your garden waste service - we understand how inconvenient and frustrating this must be for you.
As you know, the disruption has arisen as a result of the national shortage of Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) drivers.  
 
When it became clear that the garden waste service would have to be suspended for the foreseeable future, we had fully intended to undertake one last collection to empty any full bins, however the situation with HGV drivers deteriorated so quickly that it proved impossible to complete with our current crews, while maintaining the core service of collecting waste and recycling.
 
We understand that this is far from ideal, especially for those of you that now have bins full of garden waste with limited options for emptying them. 
Please be assured that we are exploring all practical options and possibilities to find a way to empty these full garden waste bins one final time this year.  
Once we have more information on this, we will update you as soon as possible.
