Do you work for, or have connections with, local community groups (residents’ associations, sports’ clubs and other groups) in the Borough?
Did you know that funds are available for new projects and improvements to current facilities?
The Council can contribute funds to new projects from the Community Infrastructure Levy (payments made for development taking place in the Borough). For more information on the Community Infrastructure Levy, please see here.
Ideas for projects (and funding assistance) can be submitted twice a year. The next round for submissions opens on 1 July 2022 for four weeks. Please click here for more information, including the criteria for funding and the application form.
Applications will be reviewed and decisions made by the Executive Board Members of the Council, via consultation with local communities and Ward Councillors.
The bidding for funds for projects is designed for non-Parished areas in the Borough only: Parish Councils can be approached directly for support in relation to project funds, since they receive a proportion of Community Infrastructure Levy monies from building developments in their Parishes.
Who has benefitted already?
A number of groups have been successful in being awarded funds, including: Frimley Village Hall Charity (£18,600), Mytchett, Frimley Green & Deepcut Society (£3,600) and Heatherside Ward Jubilee Benches (£3,600).
