Garden Waste collection update - December 2021

Although the suspension of the garden waste service due to the national shortage of HGV drivers remains in place in Surrey Heath, we are pleased to let you know we have been able to arrange for garden waste bins in the borough to be emptied again in the new year.
 
This is scheduled to take place either the week commencing 10 or 17 January, depending on your usual garden waste collection week.
 
Customers will receive more information on the detail of these arrangements before then from Joint Waste Solutions, via email or letter. 
 
As previously confirmed all subscriptions will be extended for the duration of the service suspension.
 
We know the suspension of garden waste collections is frustrating, and if you wish to cancel the service a pro-rata refund will be issued for the period the service has been suspended. Please be aware that due to the driver shortage, it may not be possible to take the bin away for some time. If you cancel your garden waste subscription and later wish to rejoin, you will need to complete the sign up process again once the service is accepting new customers.
 
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. We also want to assure you that we are working hard to provide interim collections and to bring the service back fully as soon as possible.
