The Christmas Elves in Surrey Heath House have been busy this week putting together Christmas food hampers to be distributed by the Camberley Besom food bank to families and individuals across Surrey Heath.

The 18 hampers have been made up from donations made by SHBC’s councillors and staff and contain Christmas food treats and small gifts.

The Camberley Besom is the main established foodbank provision that supports all urban areas of Surrey Heath and regularly distributes a minimum of 50 food parcels per week.

If you need the support of a food bank this Christmas.

You can get a food bank voucher from a front line professional, such as a doctor, social worker, adviser at Citizens Advice, Frontline, SHBC’s Housing/Family Support/Welfare team, Surrey County Council’s Children’s and Adult Social Care teams, Accent and other social housing providers or the police.

They will ask you about your circumstances, income and needs, and will ask if it is just you that needs food or if you also have a family to feed.
