New national restrictions were put in place by HM Government on Thursday 5 November 2020 and are due to end on 2 December 2020.
Surrey Heath Borough Council has three grant programmes to support businesses affected by the restrictions.
Two are now open for applications and the third will be available soon.
These schemes are outlined below.
Local Restriction Support Grants (LRSG)
On October 31st, the Government announced there would be further funding to support businesses that are required to close due to local or national restrictions being put in place to manage coronavirus.
This support will take the form of a grant funding scheme.
Eligible businesses will receive a grant of up to £3000 for each eligible business premise for each four-week period that the restrictions are imposed.
Occupied businesses on the local rating list with a rateable value £15,000 or less grants to be £1,334 per month, or £667 per two weeks
Occupied businesses on the local rating list with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000 grants to be £2,000 per month, or £1,000 per two weeks.
Occupied businesses on the local rating list with a rateable value of £51,000 or over grants to be £3,000 per month, or £1,500 per two weeks.

Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG)
Surrey Heath will provide a two phased grant scheme to support businesses in Surrey Heath in line with the Additional Restrictions Grant funding scheme announced by HM Government following the decision to go into a second national lockdown.
ARG Grants Phase One
This scheme is available during lockdown to those businesses forced to close who are not able to trade, and like the support of the Discretionary Grant Scheme, available after Lockdown 1.
This scheme is now available and will be available for the duration of the 28-day lockdown.

Eligibility will be in line with that of the discretionary grants –
- The business must have been trading from on or before the National Lockdown was announced on the 31 October 2020
- The business must not be in Liquidation, administration or have a strike off notice against the company
- The business must have been forced to close and cannot trade (through online delivery & collection etc) therefore have no income due to the lockdown.

ARG Grants Phase Two
Detail of eligibility criteria for the Phase 2 grants will be shared soon. These grants will be for businesses still trading within the national restrictions but who have been financially impacted by loss of trade.
