Update on phase 1 of electric vehicle charging points

The first phase of work started on 31 July. Whilst the work takes places in these car parks, spaces will be taken up to accommodate contractors.

  • Watchetts Road Car Park: Phase 1 work complete. Line painting will take place between 18-22 August, after which all bays will be open to the public.
  • Chobham High Street Car Park: Phase 1 work complete. Line painting will take place between 18-22 August, after which all bays will be open to the public.
  • Martindale Avenue Car Park: Phase 1 work complete. Line painting will take place between 18-22 August, after which all bays will be open to the public.
  • Yorktown Car Park: Phase 1 work complete Phase 1 work complete. Line painting will take place between 18-22 August, after which all bays will be open to the public.
  • The Square (Bagshot) Car Park: Phase 1 work complete Phase 1 work complete. Line painting will take place between 18-22 August, after which all bays will be open to the public.
  • Portesbury Residents Car Park: Work will take place from 15 August until 25 August. 4 spaces will be taken up.
  • Burrell Road Car Park: Details TBC.

We are installing these as part of our work to tackle climate change. There are 3 phases involved in this work: installing underground infrastructure, electrical works and installing the meter.
