List of Open Spaces in Surrey Heath

Open Space Regulations

Our Parks and Open Spaces are covered by a number of rules and regulations, including a list of Byelaws. Please note that portable barbeques and fires are not permitted within any park or open space, unless arranged directly with the Council. The operation of remote controlled model aircraft, cars and boats are not permitted within Surrey Heath parks and open spaces.

1. Albert Road, Connaught Park, Bagshot GU19 5QJ
This park has a children's play area.
 
2. Whitmoor Road, Connaught Park, Bagshot GU19 5RA
This park has a children's play area.
 
3. Blackwater Park, Admiralty Way, Camberley GU15 3DT

An area of open space alongside the River Blackwater with picnic areas, trim trail and you may see a kingfisher or two.

4. Camberley Park, Knoll Road, Camberley GU15 3HD
Behind the Civic offices and Camberley library. A new park created as part of a housing development. A unique feature is the ruined Obelisk Tower situated on a hill overlooking Camberley. There is also a small children's playground.
 

5. Crabtree Park Crabstree Road & Watchmoor Reserve, Camberley GU15 2TA
Two sites, which are linked by a footbridge over the railway. Crabtree provides informal recreation opportunities including trim trail and skate ramp, while Watchmoor Reserve has been landscaped to encourage wildlife. There is also a small outdoor classroom area with wooden sculptures, lakes and walks.

6. Deanside, Cordwalles Road, Camberley GU15 4DY
This park has a children's play area.

7. Heatherside Recreation Ground, Cumberland Road, Camberley GU15 1AY
An open space, offering 3 soccer pitches, children's play area and skate ramps. There is also a lovely avenue of Redwood trees.

8. London Road Recreation Ground, Grand Avenue, Camberley, GU15 3QQ
Surrey Heath's oldest park opened in 1898. The town park is adjacent to the Arena Leisure Centre. In addition to football, cricket, bowling (Camberley Bowls Club) and tennis, there is a small ornamental garden and a children's play area.

9. Martell Close, Camberley GU15 1QS
This park has a children's play area.

10. Old Dean Recreation Ground, Bracknell Road, Camberley, GU15 4BD
An open space in the middle of the Old Dean Estate with a very popular adventure play area and BMX / roller skating track. Two football pitches are provided. Home to the Old Dean Bowls Club.
We recommend visitors to the Old Dean playground travelling by car should park in the Old Dean bowls club car park, postcode GU15 4AY, rather than on surrounding residential roads.
 
11.Orchard Way, Camberley GU15 2TH
This park has a children's play area.
 
12. Southcote Park, Portsmouth Road, Camberley GU15 2TA
A small open space which is the home of the Camberley Lawn Tennis Club. There is a multi-use games area, children’s play area and a picnic area.
 

13. Watchetts Recreation Ground, Park Road, Camberley GU15 2SR
Home of the Camberley Rugby Football Club, Frimley Lawn Tennis Club and Watchetts Bowling Club, this park also provides cricket, putting, casual tennis and also a children's play area.  There is a secure dog exercise area, the gate access code fee is £5 per month. 14. Watchetts Lakes, Verran Road, Camberley GU15 2PG
A series of three connected ponds which support a large number of birds and other wildlife.

15. Watchmoor Reserve, Camberley GU15 2TA
This area has wildlife, walks, a designated picnic area and parking. There is no fishing allowed.

16. Wellington Park, Clarence Drive, Camberley, GU15 1JT 
This park has a children's play area.

17. Chobham Place Woods, Off Windsor Road, (B383) GU24 8TN
A mature broadleaf wood which once belonged to Chobham Place House lying to the south. This area and Round Pond to the east are on the edge of Chobham Common. The wood provides pleasant woodland walks and it is proposed to improve access for disabled visitors and partially restore the original historical landscape.

18. Woodend Road, Deepcut GU16 6JX
A nice children's playground and football pitch.

19. Alphington Pond, Alphington Avenue, Camberley
A small attractive pond, a place to enjoy the quiet and watch the ducks. No fishing please.

20. Bentley Copse, Amber Hill, Frimley GU15 1EB
This park has a children's play area.

21. Burrell Road, Frimley GU16 7JG
This park has a children's play area.

22. Cheylesmore Park, Off Chobham Road, Frimley GU16 9BN
This park has a children's play area.

23. Chobham Road Recreation Ground, Frimley GU16 8PF
Another small park which provides two football pitches, a cricket square and a children's playground.

24. Evergreen Road, Frimley GU16 8PU
This park has a children's play area.

25. Kingshurst, Maguire Drive, Frimley GU16 9LF
This park has a children's play area.

26. Loman Road, Mytchett, GU16 6EQ
This park has a children's play area.

27. Tomlins Pond, Tomlins Avenue, Frimley GU16 8LJ
Watchetts & Tomlins lakes provide four very pleasant water features, where you can stroll, watch the birds or just sit and enjoy the water. No fishing please.

28. Warren Wood, Warren Rise, Frimley
An ancient woodland dominating the skyline as well as being an important landscapes feature it provides walks and sanctuary for wildlife.

29. Frimley Green Recreation Ground, Frimley Green Road GU16 6JX
This park provides multiple sports facilities; 4 football pitches, a cricket square and is the home of Frimley Green FC.  There are also lovely views from the top of the hill, a wooded area and a popular and well stocked children’s play area.

30. Briars Centre, Briar Avenue, Lightwater GU18 5PF
This park has a children's play area.

31. Lightwater Country Park, The Avenue, Lightwater GU18 5RG

32. Turfhill Park, Red Road, Lightwater
A natural area of heathland and pine woods managed by this Council in recognition of the valuable and rare habitat created by heathland. Provides opportunities for walking, nature study and picnics. An S.S.S.I.

33. Frimley Lodge Park, Sturt Road, Mytchett GU16 6HY

34. Mytchett Recreation Ground, Hamesmoor Road, Mytchett GU16 6JD
A small park offering children's play area, bowling (Mytchett Bowls Club) and tennis, skate ramp with a grass kickabout area and rose beds.

35. Uplands Road, Camberley, GU15 4JN
This park has a children’s play area.
