Elections took place on Thursday 12 December 2019 to elect Members of Parliament. Voters resident within Surrey Heath (including parts of Guildford borough) voted to elect an MP for the Surrey Heath Parliamentary Constituency. 

 

 

 

 

 

The deadline to register to vote in this election has passed.

 

You need to register to vote in elections in the UK. You are not automatically registered to vote because you pay Council Tax.

 

You can register to vote in future elections at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

 

 

You can vote in person at your allocated Polling Station. Polling Stations will be open between 7am and 10pm on Thursday 12 December 2019.

 

If you cannot attend your Polling Station you can apply to vote by post or by proxy. You can download applications to vote by post or by proxy from www.gov.uk/voting-in-the-uk

Polling stations will be open from 7am - 10pm on Thursday 12 December 2019. Details of your polling station can be found on your poll card. Alternatively, you can input your address into our Polling Station finder. Please check where your polling station is located as this may have changed since you last voted.

 

You do not need your Poll Card to vote but it saves time at the polling station if you take with you to vote.

 

 

You can apply for a postal vote at any time until 5pm on Tuesday, 26 November 2019. You can download applications to vote by post from www.gov.uk/voting-in-the-uk We must receive your application by this deadline.

 

The deadline for making changes to or cancelling existing arrangements is also 5pm on Tuesday, 26 November 2019.

 

Postal Votes are sent out in batches.

 

 

 

Completed postal votes need to be returned to the Acting Returning Officer by 10pm on 12 December 2019. You can hand your completed postal vote into the Council Offices or at any polling station in the Constituency.

 

 

You can apply for a proxy vote, where someone votes on your behalf at your polling station until 5pm Wednesday 4 December 2019. Your proxy needs to be registered

 

to vote and eligible to vote at the elections on 12 December 2019. You can download applications to vote by proxy from www.gov.uk/voting-in-the-uk

 

If you appoint a proxy, you are still entitled vote yourself at your polling station provided that your proxy has not already voted on your behalf or arranged a postal vote. Please note that your proxy will need to attend your allocated polling station to vote on your behalf.
