How you can vote
Voting in person at a polling station
Find your polling station
The location of your polling station can be found via the map and search facility on My Surrey Heath.
Polling Stations will be safe places to vote in May
- wear a face covering inside the polling station
- sanitise your hands using the hand sanitiser provided
- maintain social distancing at all times
- bring your own pen or pencil to mark your ballot paper, if possible.
Postal voting
You can apply for a postal vote at any time until 5pm on Tuesday, 20 April 2020. You can download applications to vote by post here. We must receive your application by this deadline.
The deadline for making changes to or cancelling existing postal votes is also 5pm on Tuesday, 20 April 2020.
Postal Votes are sent out in batches, with cut off dates for each batch so the earlier we receive your application form the sooner we can send you your ballot papers.
Completed postal votes need to be returned to the Local Returning Officer by 10pm on 6 May 2021. You can hand your completed postal vote into the Council Offices or at any polling station in your division.
Priority post boxes have an enhanced collection service, with extra/later collections, including weekends. If returning your postal vote in the mail, you may want to consider using one of these priority post boxes - to find one in your area go to the Royal Mail website.
