Codes of Conduct for Members of Surrey Heath Borough Council and Bisley, Chobham, West End and Windlesham Parish Councils
The borough council and the four parish councils within the borough of Surrey Heath have adopted Codes of Conduct for their members.
The Code of Conduct is a way of ensuring the business of local authorities is undertaken in a professional manner and clarifies and reinforces the ethical standards in local government. It defines a set of practical guidelines and clearly sets out the councillor's responsibilities as a representative of the residents of Surrey Heath and that appropriate interests in jobs, property and businesses are declared.
Copies of the Code of Conduct are available for members of the public at Surrey Heath's main offices during normal office hours. You can download these from the link below. The parish council Codes of Conduct are kept at the respective parish council offices and can be viewed on the Parish Council websites.
If any person has reason to believe that a Member of the borough council or a parish member has breached the Code of Conduct they may complain to the Monitoring Officer of Surrey Heath Borough Council, Surrey Heath House, Knoll Road, Camberley, Surrey, GU15 3HD. The Monitoring Officer may also be contacted by email at monitoring.officer@surreyheath.gov.uk

The Standards Hearing and Determination Committee will hear and consider allegations of breaches of the Code of Conduct by Members of the Council.
