Who can apply for social housing
To apply for social housing in Surrey Heath you need to join the housing register.
We have a housing register as there are lots of people looking for homes. The register helps us to offer housing to people most suited to each home. It also helps us to identify those who are most in need.
Not everyone can join the housing register. To find out if you qualify you need to complete an assessment.

If you qualify you will be able to join the housing register.
How to apply for homes
Once you have joined the housing register you will be able to bid for homes.
Available homes are listed on the Surrey Heath Home Choice website on a Wednesday. You must apply for the home before noon the following Tuesday.
Please note that homes are not available every week.
Once bidding closes all applications are reviewed. Applications that qualify for the home are considered. The home is offered to the bidder with the highest priority.
