From April 1st 2015, Guildford’s Beacon Palliative Care Service was transferred to Phyllis Tuckwell, enabling us to manage one combined and experienced clinical team across our area.
This is great news for patients and relatives across West Surrey and North East Hampshire, who now have one strengthened clinical team providing the best possible care, wherever they want to be – whether at the Hospice, at the Beacon Centre, or in their own homes.
The Beacon Centre becomes the base for our combined Hospice Care at Home team, as well as the Clinical Nurse Specialists and Day Assessment & Therapy Unit. Together these teams provide a range of supportive and end of life care services for anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer or another serious progressive illness.
The Beacon Centre is open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm. Situated in the grounds of the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford it has its own free car park.
