To Manage & Control use of the Council's Parking assets of 23 car parks with over 3700 Off-Street parking spaces, 550 On-Street Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) spaces and 30 spaces in the Frimley Road Special Parking Area (SPA). The major elements consist of:

  • Operate and Maintain the Pay on Foot and Pay & Display Parking Systems
  • Enforcement of Parking Regulations and Collection of Fines Income
  • Collection of Money and maintaining Audit and Statistical Information
  • Maintenance of Property and Equipment
  • Controlled Parking Zones
  • Enforcement of the Traffic Management Act 2004 as an agent of Surrey County Council.

Parking Operations for Surrey Heath are conducted as an integrated Service that is complimentary to the Council's other front line Services. Direct Service Personnel with ancillary support from central services provide a full range of parking activity within the Borough. The Off-Street activities under the Regulation of the Parking Order range from Pay on Feet and Pay & Display systems in Camberley Town Centre and Yorktown to free parking in various car parks in smaller centres, villages and shopping centres. The On-Street activity consists of a Controlled Parking Zone, free time limited parking in Camberley Town Centre and Special Parking Area in Frimley Road.

From 31 March 2008 the Government replaced Decriminalised Parking Enforcement (DPE) across the country with Civil Parking Enforcement carried out under the Traffic Management Act 2004.
