Seward Art Tuesday 11th March -Saturday 5th April | An illuminating exhibition by popular husband-and-wife team Liz Seward Relfe and Gerry Seward. Liz is celebrated/ renowned for her vibrant flower pictures and atmospheric local heathland landscapes. A member of the prestigious Society of Floral Painters, she is a regular exhibitor at London venues like The Mall Galleries. Gerry is noted for his evocative seascapes and unusual/ intriguing views of buildings. This attractive display will appeal to everyone. |
What's in Store? Wednesday 9th April - Saturday 27th April | Besides their main displays every museum has many items which are kept in store and brought out when needed . This is a chance to see some of the stored highlights from the Surrey Heath collection and learn some of the stories behind them. Which celebrated Camberley bird-painter walked round with a hawk on his shoulder and was still illustrating books when he was over 90? What's the story behind the china parrot? Who were "Billy and Charley", and what's the secret of the toy tank. |
Shopping Around/ Window-Shopping Saturday 18th May - Saturday 9th August | This exhibition draws on material across Surrey Heath to illustrate what we bought and where we bought it. On show are a wide range of objects displayed in replica reconstructed shop windows, with an old fashioned shop-counter scene as the centrepiece, complemented by a wealth of local photographs and reminiscences. A good chance for some retail therapy without spending money! |

A delightful display of toys, games and playthings from the past, including some colourful and nostalgic additions to the Museum collection. An enjoyable exhibition for all the family, - older visitor will relish the trip down Memory Lane while children will enjoy contrasting playthings past and present. (Also ideal for Key Stages 1 & 2).
