Welcome to Surrey Heath

Surrey Heath comprises the beautiful villages of Windlesham, Bagshot, Chobham and Frimley as well as the main centre of Camberley.

The Borough is viewed by tourists and visitors as the gateway to many major local attractions such as Legoland, Windsor Castle, Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures. The historic towns of Farnham and Guildford are nearby, and the city of Winchester with its glorious cathedral and attractive shopping centre is easily accessible along the M3 motorway.

Places to Visit in Surrey

  • Legoland is on the A3022 at Windsor - 45 minutes drive from Camberley.
  • Thorpe Park is situated on the A320 near the intersection of M25 junction 12 and M3 junction 2 at Chertsey - approximately 20 miles from Camberley.
  • Chessington is near the M25 at junction 9 and is sighposted from there. Allow about 1 hour to drive from Camberley.

Parks
Surrey Heath has two very beautiful and large parks, Frimley Lodge Park with canalside walks, and Lightwater Country Park which has large areas of protected heathland. Descriptive leaflets can be obtained from the Council Offices and local libraries.
