Site Allocations Document

Background
To support delivery of the adopted Core Strategy the Borough Council began the process of preparing a Site Allocations Document in 2012 under The Town & Country Planning (Local Planning)(England) Regulations 2012.

The function of the Site Allocations Document is to allocate specific areas of land within Surrey Heath for development such as housing, employment and retail uses. The Document will also consider open spaces, highway improvements and major developed sites in the Green Belt.

The Council undertook an initial Issues and Options Consultation on the Sites Allocations Plan in Spring 2013.

Preparation of the Site Allocations document has currently ceased while the Council undertakes a number of evidence-base studies to support further development of the Local Plan.
