Site Allocations Document

Preparation of a Site Allocations Document for Surrey Heath

Background
To support delivery of the recently adopted Core Strategy the Borough Council has begun the process of preparing a Site Allocations Document under The Town & Country Planning (Local Planning)(England) Regulations 2012.

Once approved, the Site Allocations Document will allocate specific areas of land within Surrey Heath for development such as housing, employment and retail uses. The Document will also consider open spaces, highway improvements and major developed sites in the Green Belt.

Timescales
At this stage it is anticipated that the Council will be following the timescale below in the production of the document:

• Preferred Options Paper - Early 2014
• Consultation on Proposed submission Document - Summer 2014
• Submission of DPD to SoS - Early 2015

• Adoption - Autumn 2015
