6. Community Involvement

Background
The Deepcut redevelopment project will effect on people living and working in Deepcut for the next 15 years. It could also have an impact on people and communities in the vicinity.

In view of this, it is important to Surrey Heath Borough Council that the local community have a genuine opportunity to be involved in the change that will happen to their community and to have an influence on the nature and scale of these changes.

The community have already been extensively involved in the preparation of the Deepcut SPD planning guidance and have made inputs into the emerging Core Strategy policies.

The applicant will be running the second of two a community consultation events on the 10th and 11th February 2012 at the Garrison Community Centre (SPAR building), Cyprus Road, Deepcut.
